Under Saskatchewan's Northern Lights, Starla Bruneau is crafting works of love. Amazed at the beauty of colours, Starla loves to see how every piece of a quilt, a beaded earring, or a garden fits perfectly into its rightful place. Starla brings beauty to life with the help of her long-arm quilting machine. After eight years of hobby, she is doing what she loves by pursuing a career in quilting.
These days Starla's main inspiration is her young daughter Rosalie. The name of this new quilting business is a combination of mother and daughter's names: Star from Starla, and Amie, Rosalie's middle name, which means "beloved."
Wrap yourself in wonder and love from Star-Amie Creative Studio.
In the Spring of 2019, Starla was commissioned by Siretona Creative to make a star blanket in conjunction with the book, Shopping Cart Boy, and presented to the author, Joshua, in a special event at McNally Robinson Booksellers in Saskatoon.
